“Without a doubt, Wally is the best golf teacher I have ever had! My husband and I were preparing for golf season in the spring. We needed help fast. Wally had both of us hitting the ball after the first lesson. From there, we had the opportunity to continue to learn from Wally and grow as players. Wally’s patience and ability to work within a player’s natural swing makes golf fun and easy. Both my husband and I have seen dramatic improvement in our games. We attribute our success to Wally’s unending efforts.

Wally has also become a trusted golf teacher and advisor for a group of women leaders at the company I work for, ARI, a Holman Automotive Group subsidiary. ARI was looking to provide a group of women managers with new leadership opportunities and the ability to participate in more networking events. Wally conducted a 6-week course with 10 female leaders. Wally made such an impact on every single student that all of the participants continue to take lessons from Wally today. Wally sparked a sense of confidence in the women enabling them to participate in opportunities that they previously had to politely decline. Our experience is a testament to Wally’s ability to build long-standing relationships and create happy, returning clients.”

“I have had the pleasure of working with Wally and have seen amazing results. Although I am not new to golf, it had been quite a few years since I played, which brought me very close to a beginner status when I began working with Wally. During our sessions he has shown an incredible amount of patience, all while remaining positive and encouraging.

I am a professional woman with plenty of opportunity to golf, but until now, I did not have the confidence to join the game. Even a scramble was too intimidating. Under Wally’s instruction I have acquired the courage to get on the course. His streamlined approach of focusing on one technique at a time and the mantra of “you’re going to hit some bad shots, and that’s ok” makes the game much less frightening.

As a result of working with Wally I have played more golf than ever and my husband cannot stop bragging about my golf game. I have a long way to go and a lot of practice ahead of me, but I would still be frustrated on the driving range if it weren’t for Wally.”

“My son has been taking golf lessons from Wally for the past year. Wally has been such a positive influence not only in the teaching of the mechanics of the game, but Wally has also taught him the maturity required of the game. Wally’s handling of the “head” aspect of the game sets him apart from any other instructor we’ve worked with. My son has gone from a 28 handicap to a 12 under Wally’s instruction, but more importantly he’s learned to handle himself in a mature manner, which at 14 years old is a challenge.”

“As a newcomer to the game of golf, I was a bit hesitant about taking lessons. I was nervous I wouldn’t be able to connect with the instructor, or have the patience for the learning process. Wally came highly recommended by a co-worker, who organized several group lessons with him on our behalf. So I took a chance.

By the end of the first session, I knew that I would continue lessons on my own with Wally after the group clinic was over. As a lady golfer, his approach to teaching is exactly what I needed! He is very affable and friendly which puts you at ease, but he is also disciplined enough to keep the group focused on the skill we’re learning that day. I couldn’t believe how quickly I was able to pick up basic skills and course etiquette after just a few hours with Wally.

He is patient, and focuses on improvement to positively reinforce his students’ progress. He is never patronizing or condescending. I find that Wally’s enthusiasm and comfortable approach to teaching makes it much easier for me to keep trying to improve my game and make time for frequent lessons despite a busy schedule.”

“When I first started to get serious about the game of golf, I figured a couple lessons would help, just to straighten me out. I got Wally’s name and figured I would take a lesson or two.  After one lesson I went from a wicked slice to a straight if not drawing ball flight. This is when I knew that I had found the instructor.

Ever since that first lesson I have gone to Wally for every problem imaginable and every time I get a lesson my problem is diagnosed and fixed with one simple tip. This is what is so great about Wally’s teaching style. He simplifies the game.

Nobody has the perfect swing, and Wally does not try to change your swing completely. He tweaks it to make it better.  He also focuses on impact position because this is all the golf ball knows.

He is not the kind of instructor that says, “Oh, your hour is up,” and hits the road. He takes the extra time to make sure you’re satisfied with your results.

I think Wally’s way of teaching is the best and most efficient way of learning how to play golf.

If you don’t believe me, just listen to my story…

I am fifteen years old and have been playing golf for two years. When I started golf I was not taking lessons frequently because other sports were a higher priority to me at the time.  I started taking lessons with Wally about a year ago. When I started with Wally I was a 28 handicap and getting worse. As my game began to progress under Wally’s guidance, golf became my top priority and main sport. So I started taking lessons once a week with Wally and it made a big difference. In less than a year I am an 8 handicap and getting better. I dropped twenty strokes!

Prior to working with Wally my best 18-hole score was 96 and my best 9-hole score was 46. Less than a year later, my best 18-hole score is 75, which I’ve shot three times and my best 9-hole score is 34. I have placed in tournaments and played in some serious high school matches and tournaments.

Because of Wally’s instruction I was able to make the Moorestown High School golf team. This is no small feat. In 2013 (my freshman year) the team was 22-1. The team also won three tournaments. I had the honor of playing in many matches as a freshman, which was my goal when I first started golf. To be honest, I didn’t think there was much hope of accomplishing that goal when I first started playing.  I would never have made the team without Wally’s help and I can’t thank him enough.

Wally has also taught me the mental side of the game, which all golfers know is just as important as the physical aspect. I have learned to control anger on the course, forget my mistakes, and get on with the next shot. He has also given me confidence. This is important because it is good to know that you can get up and down from anywhere. This makes your bad shots not seem so bad. This is just another part of my improved mental game.

Wally has really taught me all aspects of the game. It has made me a better player and a better person in general.

Wally is a great role model.  He is a great guy to have a conversation with and is always in a good mood. And he is also a heck of a teacher. I hope to work with Wally for many years to come.

If you take lessons from Wally you will not just get better at golf, but also meet a great guy in the process.”
